A walk through the old streets of Tbilisi will give you the opportunity to see many interesting things: sulfur baths, the pride of the Georgian capital, the Bridge of Peace, one of 13 unique architectural bridges, and the unusual clock near the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater.

You will have the opportunity not only to see a real show but also to taste Georgian cuisine, accompanied by traditional wine. Georgian folk songs and dances are as diverse as Georgia itself: the polyphony of Georgian songs, graceful, virtuoso, full of temperament and passion Georgian dances. Georgian art reveals the feelings and character of the people.

From 01.06.2024, new rules for tourists come into force in Georgia. All visitors to the country must have medical insurance for the entire period of stay. For its absence, tourists will be fined about 110 dollars.

Itinerary

Day 1:

• Meeting at Riga Airport. Flight Riga - Tbilisi (~23:20-04:40)

Day 2:

• Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Rest. Breakfast.
• Tbilisi city tour (around 12:00). Tbilisi is one of the most beautiful cities in the Caucasus. During the tour, we will take a cable car to the Narikala Fortress – the most famous and ancient monument of Tbilisi, representing a fortress complex of different eras in Old Tbilisi. From here, you can take the best photos with magnificent views.
• Descent into the old city, visiting sulfur baths, the Bridge of Peace, and the Rike Park.
• Optional gala dinner in one of the best restaurants in the country (additional cost 37 €).
• Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 3:

• Breakfast. Excursion to the historical region of Kakheti, the land of vines.
• Visit to the Wine Factory of Georgia (optional, additional cost, included in the tasting package).
• Visit to the Bodbe Monastery.
• Visit to the city of love, Sighnaghi.
• Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 4:

• Breakfast. Tour "In the footsteps of Lermontov" (additional cost 40 €).
• Visit to Jvari Monastery (UNESCO) VI century.
• Travel along the Georgian Military Road, visiting Jinvali Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri, and Kazbegi.
• Optional trip off-road to the Gergeti Trinity Church (additional cost 11 €/person).
• Return to Tbilisi.

Day 5:

• Breakfast. Check-out. Excursion to Mtskheta, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, and Uplistsikhe cave city (entrance fee about 10 €).
• Visit to Borjomi. Transfer to transit hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6:

• Breakfast. Check-out. Excursion in Kutaisi. Departure to Batumi. Excursion in Batumi. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 7:

• Breakfast. Free time or optional excursion to mountainous Adjara (additional cost 30 €), including Mahuntseti waterfall, Queen Tamar arch bridge, and Gonio Fortress (entrance fee 2 €).
• Visit to the Botanical Garden (entrance fee ~8 €). Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8:

• Breakfast. Departure to Tbilisi. Lunch on the pass (optional, included in the tasting package).
• Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer to the airport.

Day 9:

• Flight Tbilisi - Riga (~05:25-08:55)
